Making the Most of March’s Winter
Normally, I lose my shit if it starts to snow mid-March, but I got a new faux fur coat that I’m obsessed with and had a reason to wear it every day last week. I’ve been styling this coat a lot for work, so it’s been a little on the dressier side, but something more casual like this is more my jam.
My Weekend!
I took this band tee/sneakers/faux fur combo out in Lansing last weekend with my mom. She came down to visit the Michigan Horse Expo, but first, we popped by Strange Matter for coffee and donuts. After forcing her to split a donut with me, we headed into the expo. The expo was at the MSU Pavilion, a place very familiar to me during my college and horse-riding days. It smelled of horse poop and cinnamon, a combo that I oddly very much enjoy that transports me back in time.
There were so many vendors from dog and horse food to western show apparel to saddles and horse trailers–it was so much fun to shop. I picked up James such glucosamine supplement treats, a fly sheet for Mocha and I know this sounds weird, but it’s actually pretty cool: Horse hair key chains.
After we grew tired of the crowds, we headed to Hopcat for burgers and crack fries before settling in for a little nap.
