Last Saturday, Kyle finally met my parents. When I met his mom for the first time a couple weeks ago, I made sure to put on a pretty fit and flare dress (which I inevitably spilled chocolate on.) My mom got the version of me in a sweatshirt and hat hair. It’s so much easier to be a bum around your own parents. But this kind of look is my favorite. I love casual, and I’m obsessed with these bell bottoms from J Brand (and so did my mom.) It’s a travesty you can’t see the detail on the sweatshirt, because it has a two-headed eagle creature embroidered in black thread.
We grabbed lunch at the City Flats Hotel Bistro/Bar in downtown Grand Rapids and then Kyle and I headed over to Madcap for the tastiest cup of coffee I’ve had in quite some time. Mental note: I need to spend more time in GR.

I love your jacket! Grand Rapids really is a great city. I keep finding little shops all over town, but Madcap is still my favorite cafe for sure. Next time try out Rowsters!
