A Sexy Dress Styled Not Too Sexy
The 22 year old me would’ve strutted around in this mini dress without care, but these days I choose a dress like this to style a little more modestly. I appreciate the flattering silhouette, color and print, so I incorporated some elements to make it work for my everyday wear.
Add Lacy Layers
I’m partial to lacy bras and love a little peekaboo, so I added this white lacy bra underneath. I have more modest black lacy bralettes that would also work well, but shit, on a weekend, I’ll let loose a little.
Style As a Tunic
I love styling dresses as tunics, it helps get more wear if I can style it in the summer as a dress and as a top in the fall or winter seasons. I styled it this time with faux leather leggings, but I think it would look cute with tight skinny jeans and a pair of pumps.
Add a Casual Shoe
A classic flat boot is the best accessory to transform an outfit from dressed up to casual and I wanted this to look easy going and as informal as possible. I truly just hate dressing up and looking dressed up.

That’s a gorgeous dress! I often struggle in wearing really pretty dresses that show a lot of skin in the winter because I get way too cold but I also want to wear them and I rarely get the opportunity to wear them in the summer so I need to find ways to make them look more modest but I always fail at it… You did it amazingly, the leggings add such an edgy vibe to it.

Thank you for the suggestions! I often stay away from “sexy” outfits but these are all great ways to work that dress that’s been in the back of my closet for the longest time. I love it! ❤
