The Case of Nothing to Wear
I had one of those “I have nothing to wear!!!” moments where I’m on the edge of emotional fit and then I sift through dozens of shirts and I’m reminded that I have plenty–like this sweet, backless tank in a pretty blush tone. I bought this two or three years ago and I usually let things go to my nieces by then if it’s sitting for so long unworn, but luckily I had some sense to hold on two a few things I might like.
Letting Things Go
That’s not the case with the snakeskin Matisse booties I gave to my friend a couple years ago. They were actually comfortable ankle boots with the pointy toe and thick heel that I love. I wore them quite a bit before letting my friend borrow them and just telling her “go ahead and keep them! I have too many shoes” It is true. I have too many things and I have absolutely no sentimental value for almost everything I own. I can let things go easily and I never wish I could take them back, except these damn boots. Maybe she’ll let me borrow them and maybe I’ll let these now cowgirl-style boots fill the ankle boot void in my life.
