An All-American Afternoon

We were hit with yet another snow storm last weekend and on a scale of 0 to I can’t get my goddamn car out of the driveway, we hit the latter. But, I still managed to make the voyage to and from my grand lunch plans last Sunday. I just couldn’t get my car back into my driveway (and got stuck several times in the road.)

The Quest to Texas Roadhouse

The journey to South Lansing for lunch just after the storm was long and arduous, but worth it. I scooped up my friend Ashley with the promise of a free meal if she snapped a couple photos of my lazy look in the Hooters parking lot. She obliged and before we knew it, we were buttering up rolls and crushing peanuts at the roadhouse with 58 awkward photos of myself on the camera roll.

I love me a local restaurant. Whether it’s a local farm to table restaurant where the menu changes daily or a sweet little cafe with natural light and fresh baked goods–I truly enjoy trying new, locally owned establishments. But sometimes I just want a basket of rolls and chicken critters with fries from Texas Roadhouse among my people.

Athleisure Everyday

Maybe it’s the two feet of snow or Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl performance look (just kidding, I bought these a week before he made his camo debut just a FYI), but I can’t stop wearing these camo pants on repeat. I have no desire to take these off and pull myself together, but I think if you’re going to be lazy, a great pair of joggers can effortlessly help lend some style. They’re on major sale at Aerie right now (not these camo ones, but a bunch of others!)
