Last weekend, Brooke and I planned a brunch to catch up at the Fed in Clarkston, a charming restaurant in the most adorable town tucked away just an hour from Lansing. I visited the Fed when it first opened last summer and I’m still just in awe of how beautiful the space is–and my breakfast sandwich was definitely worth the $8.
Brunch Style
I now have this sweater in all three colors available thanks to varying sales on different sites–and wore the blush one again for a cozy, brunch-induced food coma. And white pants, which could have been a huge mistake, but I rose to the challenge and did not get a single stain on these! This is basically what I wore to Brooke’s surprise birthday party a month ago, but whatever. I love to re-wear the same looks over and over with slight changes. Why mess with a good thing, like a good outfit?
Back to the Fed–this space used to be an old federal bank and it was in quite disrepair when the owner first bought the property. The before photos are astonishing. Takes someone with some vision to turn a shithole into every Instagrammer and foodie’s haven. The old vault in the building is now a private dining space and the variety of seating from cool bohemian chairs to couches makes it so cozy and like a place I could visit for any meal of the day and maybe even a drink in the evening if I’m feeling a little more adventurous.

I love slouchy, loose looks! Most of my latest outfits on my blog have been loose fits. So comfy for summer, especially when it’s so hot! ๐
