My obsession with matching sets started with summer just a few years ago. Instead of pulling separates to style, I found adorable matching print crop tops and maxi skirts. So easy and current without making any real effort at all.
And now Retail Therapy got a few of these matching tops and bottoms in for fall. It’s today’s trendy version of summer’s matching sets, in fall tones, soft materials like Tencel and billowy silhouettes.
Styling the Two Piece Outfit
I styled this for work last week on a day with client meetings–they started off in an office and ended on a dairy farm and this swiftly took me from A to B with comfort. I styled it with nude details like the mules and Givenchy bag (earlier in the day I carried a LV tote to hold all my work items), plus some statement jewelry. Since I was wearing all one color, I felt like I could pull off the Clydes Rebirth necklace plus the oversized hoop earrings.
Two Piece Looks to Shop
Free People has so many cute matching sets like this cozy two piece in jade. I also found this gorgeous gingham print maxi dress–gives the illusion of a set and I love the all over print! Urban Outfitters has many two piece sets, but some show too much skin for my taste–love the matching hoodie and joggers in rust though! And lastly, you can shop matching sets at Retail Therapy where I bought these! Should be going online soon!
