First things first, I got a PUPPY! She’s a Maltese and she’s adorably sweet and also a little sassy pup. She’s basically a sour patch kid right now and I love her. Read on for a few more updates!
Life Updates
My Maltese puppy’s name is Colette and I’ve had her just over a week now and she’s 11 weeks old. Her breeder named her Colette and I loved it so much I kept her name. I spent a few months before getting her applying for tiny senior dogs all of which I was denied for one reason or another which was a discouraging process. I tried to adopt before I got James too and had to go the puppy route to get a dog at home. I do think this has worked out well because James is 10 now and it’s been great to have a well-trained stable dog at home when I foster dogs and Colette will be able to step into that role as well.
I also had a foster dog, Lukas, who went to his forever home a couple days after I brought Colette home. Lukas was a puppy mill dog and at 5.5 years old, came to my house acting like a puppy needing to learn how to be a dog and watched James every step of the way. I miss that little dog, but happy that he found a wonderful home and that I get to pick out the family since I know him best.
I’ve been feeling a bit lower energy still and needing to get back into the swing of things with health and fitness so I signed up for a six month coaching package with Courtney Bryant. I’m so ready to eat better, feel better and stronger!
Lastly, Rob heads back to Alabama next year for the fall semester at University of South Alabama so back to being at home by myself with dogs. Luckily, I’ll have my friend Ashley’s dog to help fill the void as I watch him during her European travels. I truly taking care of dogs and they give me so much of a purpose as much work as it is!
