Layers, sweatshirts, fun coats–just a few reasons I love transitioning my style to colder temperatures. I have a closet full of sweatshirts and I can finally rotate through them all–and challenge myself to style them with anything but leggings, which is my lazy everyday uniform when it’s cold AF. But, we’re not yet to the worst of winter, so I can try a little harder until then.
Mom Jeans + A Cropped Sweatshirt
Still not over mom jeans and cropped sweatshirts. These unflattering light denim jeans were underneath a few of my cozy stretchy jeans and I thought they deserved a snowy day wear. I paired it with this new sweatshirt from CHRLDR. I usually feel like my actual outfit under my winter gear is boring. When it gets cold, I go all out with outerwear and keep it super simple underneath, but this is an outfit I still love when I lose the hat, coat and shoes.
Recreating the Look
If you’re looking to recreate a similar look, these Levi’s jeans are similar, but I like them better. I honestly prefer jeans with a lot more stretch and these Levi’s promise some stretch and I love the coal black denim color. For even more stretch and comfort, shop Madewell jeans.
These 9-inch high rise skinny jeans are great and they’re distressed and faded with a chewed hem. AND they’re on sale! Plus, Madewell has a sale for 20% or 30% off with code MERRYME.
I love all CHRLDR sweatshirts where I got the Weekend Warrior one I’m wearing and the sweatshirts by Project Social T too!
This I AM GIA coat is the one I copied off my intern Taylor. She looked so cool in hers and so I scurried off to order one for myself. I’m wearing it in size 2 (extra small.) If you like something a little more fitted, this fleece bomber jacket is awesome. I tried to buy this before and it sold out, and so glad it’s back in four gorgeous colors.

Teddy bear coats for life! I used to hate them but now I love how snuggly they are. So cosy and stylish! 😀
