I’ve had a hard time styling this dress since it’s shrunk in length so much, but I figured I could squeeze one more wear out of it at a family holiday function. I love yo uin this dainty little laced dress….perfect with the boots. I have a few dresses that "crept up" in length too, lol….this is a great way to still wear them:)

I have been eyeing the capes at Marshalls for months now and this one is absolutely fantastic! I think it depends on the holiday for my attire with family. Sometimes I like to be casual, sometimes I like to dress it up or try some kind of in between. I love this look on you Andrea! Glad you had fun!
I love your cape! Also, I'm in the same boat when it comes to home visits – no matter how much I love my family, I can't help but notice how different I have become from all of them. It doesn't make me love them any less, but it can be hard to communicate sometimes.

I dress up for family occasions. If I don't I feel like I let down my mom (who loves to fuss about my outfits) and any of her 3 sisters attending (they share this trait).
Also, I do admit, I own a lot of "dressy" dresses that I don't often get a chance to wear, so it works out for me too. Wish I wouldn't keep dropping appetizers on those dresses :/

I love the boots with the dress to make it more casual! When I am home for the holidays I usually stick to high-waist pants, with a cute tucked in blouse and heels. Can't go wrong with the mix of dressy casual- plus high-waist pants make me feel better when I eat twice as much as usual 😉
