My favorite summer event of the year, Grand Haven’s Coast Guard Festival, always unites my friends in Long Island drinking, hot dog/corn dog eating, carnival riding, art fair buying, fireworks watching fun. And this year was my favorite. It was also a weekend of short shorts, red lipstick and wearing my new bathing suit on Sunday.
