I grew up around a lot of animals. Horses, goats, dogs, cats, the occasional rabbit..and by the time I was off to college I was ecstatic to be freed of animal chores, dog hair, dog smells and cat claws. I floated through the last ten years of life still comfortable with no responsibilities beyond watering a plant, but last year I started to think about my own dog. One that was small enough to sit on my lap and an easygoing temperament that didn’t mind sitting on the couch with me. I also dreamed of one that was already potty trained and didn’t shed. Well, I found the most precious pup and he took a while to be completely potty trained and I had my moments of near meltdowns when he was a baby. He also sheds crazily and so now I clean crazily. But I love this little ten pound ball of shedding fur and cuddliness.

James is such a cutie! I've wanted a dog for years, but I'm not ready to commit just yet. I had a dog growing up so I know how much responsibility and time goes into owning one. I've just started a dog walking/pet sitting venture, so I will be able to get my daily doggie fix ๐
