ย I couldn’t be happier that it’s September and I’m gearing up for a cozy, layered up fall season. Here’s a outfit I repeat on weekends in the fall and my favorite pieces that pull it together:
Cozy Fall Athleisure starting with the Sweatshirt
When in doubt, order up a size in a sweatshirt. Or at least that’s my motto when shopping and styling sweatshirts. Anine Bing sweatshirts are my all-time favorite sweatshirt to sport because they’re such great quality, wash so well and come in cool colors, silhouettes and graphics.
When you don’t want to spend $200+ on a sweatshirt, I recommend shopping the men’s section at H&M or Target. I’ve gotten some of my favorites snagging an XL from the men’s section and I just never dry them to keep them from shrinking. This vintage style from Target is in my cart now!
I also have this strawberry sweatshirt in a size large!
High-Quality leggings
No matter what, leggings will always be a closet staple for me and my absolute favorite pair is the Lululemon align legging. They’re pricy, but if the quality doesn’t last, you can always return them for a new pair. I learned this when I worked for Lululemon 10 years ago. And I’ve never had to return align leggings.
Splits59 leggings have been on my radar, but they’re another expensive brand. I’ve wanted a quality pair of stirrup leggings and found these stirrup leggings with the white stripe down the side on major sale for $47. Bought a pair in a medium, since the small fit a little too tight (I’m 125 pounds, 5’4″ for reference and I don’t like anything too tight on me.)
Beyond Yoga is another great brand I rely on for leggings and love these in the navy too.
Affordable Socks
All of my comfy socks are from Target or Amazon with most of them from Target like this set and this set. Only one pair have unraveled out of the dozen I’ve bought. I’m eyeing this six pack of lettuce edge socks next. So cute!
Sneaker Styles I Love
I love a Samba and I bought this pair secondhand and love them so much. Here’s a similar pair and another similar pair in blue suede. Here’s another Adidas pair in a pretty muted brown tone.
Suede Bag Love
I bought my vintage Gucci suede bag off Poshmark but here’s a similar Gucci vintage bag and here’s another! I just love this suede bag from Madewell, looks so much like my Khaite bag but for under $200.
Top it Off with a Denim Hat
I bought this Celine denim hat in Barcelona and it’s my most worn hat. If you’re looking for a logo hat that costs less, this Isabel Marant hat is a great choice and I own this one in cream. Here’s a cool $13 version from Amazon too!
