Pre-quarantine, you’d never find me suiting up or even tossing on a blazer. I’ve been the anti traditional work dresser ever since my shitty intern days wearing sad pants and bland matching suit jackets.
But here we are and I’m styling it on my own terms in my mid-thirties and I’m here for the dressy moment that’s emerged from a year and a half of loungewear. Read on for my blazer picks!
My Blazer Shopping Picks!
First, I love this H&M oversized blazer. Had small shoulder pads which works well for me since I have no shoulders. I paired with a cropped tank here for a fun outing (non work-related!) Absolutely love this H&M blazer in camel too! And in light beige!
If you love a print, you’ll love this autumn blazer by ASTR the label.
Anine Bing blazers are perfection–I especially love the fishbone blazer.
This Good American one is so good, a little pricier but right on trend.
I’m also intrigued by this blazer dress, just $89 and comes in three colors.
How to Style the Oversized Blazer Trend
This tailored trend coming out the pandemic isn’t much of a surprise. We’re all yearning to dress up a bit, but I’m still slowly stepping into this with straight leg denim like the Levi’s skinny jeans I’m wearing here, these Old Navy jeans or these Levi’s too. I also think wide leg pants would be super chic too. And these too with the side slits!
I’ve been loving a heel recently (and loafers) and both fit this trend perfectly. I do love an androgynous look and the loafers play into that nicely. The heels I’m wearing are 10+ years old by Christian Louboutin. Horribly uncomfortable, but now comfortable, I wouldn’t highly recommend these but I would recommend Sam Edelman pumps in black or nude–very comfortable and a fraction of the cost. For loafers, I like these and these and these Prada ones I own!
For accessories, I’m finally back in to a belt after a 20 year hiatus from them. This $20 belt is the one I’m wearing on repeat! I’m also going to splurge on the Isabel Marant lecce belt in tan. I love the look of this one!
