ย My hair routine has evolved each time I’ve chopped my hair shorter and shorter since last summer. My latest routine includes washing my hair twice a week and using more hot tools than ever before.
Read on my for hair products, tools and accessories that work great on my highlighted/processed thick bob-length hair!
The Shampoos
Now that I wash my hair on average twice a week (rather than once a week when my hair was much much longer), I use Kevin Murphy’s blonde angel wash–a purple shampoo to cancel out any brassiness in my blonde highlighted hair.
I double wash my hair so I also use either Aveda rosemary mint shampoo or Aveda scalp benefits (and all aveda is 25% off!) I’m also going to buy Aveda’s blonde revival shampoo since it’s cheaper AND on sale.
The Conditioners
Since I get keratin treatments on my hair, I mostly use the Brazilian blowout conditioning mask which I use like a conditioner. This helps elongate the smoothing effects and been using this for years. I also use the color conserve conditioner by Aveda.
The Styling Products
I use Dae prickly pair hair serum or Aveda brilliant gloss after I’ve dried my hair with a towel. Next, I use the Aveda speed of light blow dry accelerator spray. This helps speed up the drying process and also works as a heat protectant that I need more than ever since I always blow dry my hair and style it now.
If I need some root teasing or texture when it’s freshly clean, I use R+Co zig zag made for root teasing and allover texture. And I love Living Proof Perfect Hair Day dry shampoo!
The Hair Tools
I just got myself the Dyson hair dryer a few months back and it’s made a world of difference in blow dry time and just how smooth my hair is from blow drying alone. A lot less frizzy with the Dyson!
When I choose to keep my hair straight, I use the T3 1 inch straightening iron. Works so well and requires less pass throughs for super smooth hair.
When I style it curly, wavy or more messy, I use this T3 curling iron. Love this one too and worth the money!
The Hair Accessories
For brushes, I use the Yves Durif brush (the vented one that’s great to use while blow drying my hair.) And daily, I use this Crown Affair comb.
I also love these microfiber headbands when I’m showering or washing my face. Protects my hair from the water and products.
