I’d describe my style as burlap sack meets Keanu Reeves and the shacket trend is naturally right up my alley. This shirt-jacket hybrid is warm enough to wear as jacket and easy to layer making it perfect for fall. Plus, it’s an affordable hero piece to integrate into your wardrobe.
If you’re on the fence with it, let me share a few ideas for styling and my top choices to shop:
Where to Shop the Shackets
If you like a good, cheap find, check the men’s section at basically any store. Take for example of my plaid shacket–got it from the men’s section at Costco for $16. I’m sure you could find something similar at Kohl’s, Target, Nordstrom, you name it.
I would like a more boxy fit so I may end up buying another! Like this Free People jacket, it’s perfectly oversized and slouchy.
This $33 shoulder detail shacket comes in camel or grey and actually in stock. And this one is also from Boohoo and on sale for $30!
A great option from Target–and I love the plaid print.
This cropped Free People jacket is high on my shopping list.
This textured jacket comes in blue or neutral/tan. LOVE!
H&M shackets are selling out quickly, but this one is new and in stock.
Styling the Shacket
I love styling anything more on the casual side and so I’d style these unbuttoned layered on top of a hoodie or tee with jeans or leggings and a pair of sneakers. I styled it here with a graphic tee, jeans and combat boots–a super comfy outfit for a cold fall day.
This would also be cute styled over top a simple t-shirt dress and boots if you’re looking to dress the look up a little more. You could also style this up with a pair of leather or faux leather leggings or pants.
How would you style this trend?
