When I walked through this house in June, I saw so much potential in the office. I loved that it had windows looking out front, a big closet and plenty of space for a home officeย to actually get shit done in. I knew I’d want to paint and possibly do an accent wall of wallpaper and that’s exactly what I did.
Home Office Wall Updates
I love light and bright and a statement wall so I tackled the room painting myself with one of my friends, choosing plain white so that I didn’t have to be careful around the trim!
The big wall was reserved for wallpaper and I found this wallpaper originally and loved the print and found a dupe on Amazon at a much better price (and hired someone to do the application since I know this about me: I have zero patience to do this work myself and it would look like garbage.)
Furniture So Far
There’s a reason why you’re only seeing one angle in this room: still have more work to go to complete the makeover, but it’s mostly done. I ordered this $138 desk and it was simple enough to assemble. I also added the cowhide rug that I used in my dining nook in the old house and kept the Ikea Vittsjo shelf for my bag and Ikea garment rack for additional clothing storage/display outside of the closet since I’m running out of space!
I also added $28 sheer curtains–no need for privacy in this room since it’s just the office and I want as much light in here as possible.
On the hunt for an office chair too, thinking this or this!
Next Steps
So the other side of this room is a mess still so I’m hoping to install my floating shelves in this room from my old closet room, hang wall art, add plants and more storage. I’ll share more as I completely finish this room!
