December’s Beauty Edit coming right up! This past month, I was focused on finding a product to maintain a dewy finish to my skin, a more natural blush and spicy fragrance for winter. Read on!
New Beauty Faves
I had been on the fence to splurge on a product, Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, that might work as a highlighter and might work as a primer, but wasn’t quite sure of its purpose for my skin.
The name lured me in and I bought it despite not needing it and upon applying to my skin, I do indeed need it. For someone with dry skin and someone not needing much coverage, it works great alone as a super light foundation but I use it as a primer before applying a light layer on tinted moisturizer. And when my under eyes need a boost midday, I apply a small amount! A versatile product that truly works illuminates my skin.
I love my Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud fragrance, it’s a rich scent I love to wear for special occasions, but was looking for something spicy I could spritz on this winter. The Pomegranate Noir cologne can layer with the velvet rose nicely (so I was told by the helpful sales associate at Nordstrom) but I’ve been wearing it solo each day to work. Jo Malone is on sale right now too!
I’ve been feeling more brave to try a liquid blush, something that’s frightened me for years. It’s easy to go overboard! This Nars Liquid Blush in Orgasm blends effortlessly and I use a dampened beauty blender to help blend if necessary too. Looks so natural this way.
Beauty Re-buys
There are some products I buy on repeat since I love them and use them so often including Glossier Haloscope highlighter. It’s incredibly easy to apply and blend. I just bought topaz for whenever I get a little tan but generally use Quartz.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in Pillow Talk is hands down my favorite lipstick. It’s hydrating, glides on your lips and is the perfect nude color for me.
