ย The end of fall/beginning of winter may be my favorite time of the year. I welcome the cool weather, the chance to hibernate at home and cut back on my social/side hustle calendar.
On a more shallow note, I love this time of the year for dressing. Cozy layers, fall prints like plaid and leopard and wearing all the boots especially for the work day.
Work Style Essentials for Fall/Winter
You can usually find me in a couple uniforms: faux leather leggings with an oversized sweater or a midi/maxi skirt paired with a leather jacket and/or chunky sweater. I want dressing to be as simple as possible, and as functional. No slips, extra skin exposed or fussy shoes.
Midi and Maxi Skirts
I love a pleated midi skirt, especially in leopard print. The Banana Republic one I’m wearing is sold out, but this leopard skirt is very similar.
This luxe black pleated midi skirt is super versatile.
Another great leopard print midi skirt, this one is an a-line bias cut!
Tiered ruffled maxi skirt, I have something similar to this that I wear with white, cream or black tops or sweaters!
Chunky Sweaters and Cardigans
I need this $35 knit wool blend sweater (comes in colors like beige and camel.)
Here’s another staple knit mock turtleneck sweater! Just $30!
This sweater is just like what I’m wearing!
Another perfect camel sweater, 30% off with code shopping19.
Favorite Boots
My all time favorite pair of boots in my closet is an investment–a waterproof black ankle boot by La Canadienne. But a much more affordable version of the boot is just $50.
I’m also a huge fan of these lace up shearling boots and the new version that are more of a hiking boot style.
I recently bought these studded combat boots–wearing on repeat with my spanx faux leather leggings and regular cotton leggings. A similar more affordable version!
For a fun statement boot, try these tall snakeskin boots (I bought them last week!) This snakeskin boot option is just $60 plus 20% off right now with code AUTUMN20.
Jackets + Light Coats
A classic camel coat with some colorblocking–a modern twist on a classic!
The perfect puffer coat for a professional look. Comes in several colors, but burgundy is my favorite.
$40 leopard print faux fur coat, a winter coat staple.
A green puffer coat on my shopping list! Comes with a hood, faux shearling and an edgy vibe.
$40 faux shearling jacket! Love the silhouette.
$105 camel teddy coat–perfect for work and weekend wear.
$50 teddy coat, functional and stylish for a cold winter.
