We’re heading toward the end of summer and I’m always ready to speed on to the next season, especially when it comes to fall. It’s been so hot here in Michigan still, but I’ve been wearing more fall colors in lighter fabrics that look more like fall but still breezy enough for hot temperatures.
The Look
I’ve been in a continual style rut that leaves me wearing the same leggings and sports bra everyday, but I challenged myself last week to style something that felt on-trend and like me, perfect for fall transition. I grabbed these striped pants out of my closet that are light and breathable for summer, yet style easily for any season or occasion. I added a black tie top and suede mules plus a Staud bag for a little more interest. I love wearing neutrals and working more of them into my summer to fall wardrobe as I gear up fully for fall.
Shop Fun Pants
The pants is what makes this look pop! These wide leg pants are similar (can’t get enough cropped striped wide leg pants.) If you prefer a full length pants, these are just $23 from Target! But I also love a wide leg denim pant like these Madewell jeans on sale already plus an extra 30% off with code SEEYA. All of these pants can be styled now with a tank or tied up top and then transition to sweaters or layered with cardigans and jackets once fall hits.
Shop Similar Mules
I think I actually like these Halogen mules more than the one I’m wearing. They’re leather and easier to clean, but with a similar topline and block heel (I think I’ll order these in black!) These mules are cool too with the cone heel and pointed toe, plus they’re on sale. They seem like you could dress these ones up a little more. For something more casual, these flat Lucky Brand mules would be perfect for travel or running errands. And they’re on sale at DSW too with their promotion ($10 off with code FEELINGFINE). Top from Red Dress Boutique | Alembika pants from Retail Therapy | mules from Urban Outfitters (similar) | bag by Staud | necklaces by Katie Dean Jewelry | hat by Lack of Color
