Biker shorts, easy cropped tank and a pair of slip on sneakers is all I need to survive summer comfortably. I’ve worn this on repeat the last couple weeks and it’s because it’s the perfect blend of trend, comfort and exactly my style. Read on to recreate the look!
The Look
I’ve worn this outfit to overeat pizza and to bum around my parents yard watching Fourth of July fireworks–works for all occasions! I’ve been loving the biker short trend because 1. my ass isn’t hanging out and 2. my ass isn’t hanging out. I feel covered and comfortable.
I like styling them with a cropped tank, tee or sweatshirt since I wear my shorts more high rise (short torso, it happens even if they’re not meant to be high rise!) I bought the tank from a cute shop in Chicago called Gemini and loved how the tank fit and knew it would be a versatile piece to add in my closet. And if it’s too hot for a leather jacket, I grab an oversized denim jacket. I have several in different washes.
Any sneaker will do with this look, but I love a slip on platform sneaker. Easy to take on and off and gives us shorties a little more height.
Sale Pieces to Recreate the Look
Obviously, the first item you need to recreate the look are the leopard print biker shorts! They fit like a dream and are incredibly comfortable–and just $18. I’m wearing the size medium! And this on sale $8 square neck tank is the perfect piece to wear on top!
If you’re looking for a more affordable leather belt bag, Rebecca Minkoff has a TON on sale plus an extra 30% off. This $300 three zip belt bag is now $55, plus free shipping. And this Herschel belt bag from the Nordstrom sale is just $24 right now and comes in black or pink!
For a slip on white sneaker, try these Sperry platform sneakers that come in white, pink and navy on sale during Nordstrom sale for $50.
For a perfect denim jacket, try this one that’s half off and order up a size for a more slouchy fit! Tank from Gemini | leopard print biker shorts from American Eagle | shoes by Halogen | denim jacket c/o Unpublished | Quay sunglasses from Retail Therapy | bag by Saint Laurent

So trendy! Biker shorts are still a firm no for me but you wear them so well! Extra points for the leopard print too! ๐
