Just a few iPhone snaps from our trip last week. From Sarasota to an extra night in Tampa due to a flight cancellation, we made the most of our time in the sun.
Matt’s Uncle Fred and Aunt Elaine showed us all the best spots in town and I think my favorites were Siesta Key Beach and Selby Gardens!
Sarasota Things to Do
Make your way to Siesta Key Beach where your feet will feel the softest white sand and all your worries will melt away (at least that’s what it did for me!) Get here early though because the free parking gets full fast. We got there just before 11 a.m. and snagged one of the last parking spots!
The Selby Gardens was another highlight from the trip. Experience the most lush urban oasis and horticulture displays. Plan for a couple hours to slowly stroll through to admire the many horticulture displays the museum.
If you’re into art, the Ringling, a 66-acre bayfront oasis that was once the estate of John Ringling and his wife Mable. The Ringling includes a museum of art, a circus museum, a rose garden, a historic mansion and an Asian art center.
Favorite Restaurants & Shopping
I recommend strolling through St. Armands Circle for a wide variety of eateries and shopping.
Our favorite? Shore! Super trendy and Instagram worthy, but the juicy burger and truffle parmesan fries sealed the deal. Can’t wait to return! And don’t forget to stop into the trendy clothing store below the restaurant.
Have a sweet tooth like me? Grab some gelato from Settimi’s and a delicate sweet treat from Le Macaron!
Stop into Dana Tyler for affordable fashion jewelry!
