Ever since I borrowed my friend Brooke’s LV backpack last year, I’ve been on a quest to find the best backpacks and wear them for almost every occasion. They’re chic, functional and easy to wear. I picked this leather backpack from Maxwell Scott and so happy to have a small backpack that matches with everything in my closet.
The Backpack Trend
To steer clear of the elementary school backpack look, I opt for smaller backpacks in leather. This mini size backpack is on trend and I love the drawstring detail. I love to be hands-free and I see why my friend Brooke said they’re so functional as a mom, but they’re just as functional for me too!
The Look
My friend Jen’s friend Rachel ordered these cool wide leg overalls online and Jen knew I’d love it so she sent me a link–and I placed the order! I’ve been loving this color all winter long and overalls/jumpsuits are right up my style alley. And these fit like a glove and hug me right at the smallest part of my waist! I’m wearing a 5! I also love these black denim overalls too, so cute and I love the ankle length!

I wish I saw this post earlier! 🙁 My black backpack, which I’d been using for YEARS, broke a while back. I’d been searching for over a month for a new one (I love the vintage Coach, but can never find one that isn’t too tattered). Finally caved and got one from ASOS… but I like yours so much more! It looks exactly like my old one! ❤️

I didn’t even give backpacks a second glance until I started working in a shop that sells them and I was like “ok, maybe they’re not that bad” and actually got a few. I love them now, they’re so comfortable and I love to be able to have my hands free and not have to worry about dropping anything.
Loving this! I wish I could pull off the back pack trend!
