My Annual Nashville Trip!
This year’s Nashville trip was admittedly poorly planned and poorly timed. It’s been a rough couple weeks for my family. And you know what, I’ve been feeling drained the last month. Turns out, a few days away with a less-planned itinerary is exactly what we needed.
Whenever I visit, I make my rounds to my favorite neighborhoods including: 12 South, Germantown, East Nashville, Gulch and Midtown. I only had two nights in Nashville this trip and I crammed as much good food and shopping as I could, fitting in my annual favorites and rotating in a few new spots.ย
The Prettiest Places to Eat and Sip
I wrote a lengthy post two years ago sharing aย Nashville guideย and I still love those places, plus a few more. I thought with this post I’d highlight a few of the prettiest places I’ve visited this trip and before since I’m such a sucker for aesthetics!
Food, Drinks, Coffee
Cafe Roze. This place has been on my list since I spotted its beautiful interiors on Instagram last year. It’s located in East Nashville with a mix of pink and marble tabletops and plenty of natural light. It was a great first stop for my mom and I to get out of the car, stretch and get some much needed caffeine. They also have a food menu with avocado toast and other trendy things I’m not so into, but it sounds like people love the food too!
Caviar and Bananas. I love a giant gourmet market and cafe, especially ones with pretty plants, gold accents and delicious food for every meal of the day including weekend brunch. This spot in Midtown has quite a bit of space with plenty of indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. I’d love to get back here for dinner and try their frozen rose!
Five Daughters Bakery. This has been a go-to spot for me the last three years. I’m a sucker for a donut and these cronut-style donuts are huge and thick with 100 layers. I usually can’t eat the whole thing! Their paleo and vegan donuts are even tasty and I’m not usually into that shit. Their 12 South location, in an old converted hourse, is also adorable for photos whether you’re inside or outside.
Henrietta Red.ย This spot in Germantown is ideal for a quick drink or dinner out with friends. I’ve only visited the bar for drinks, but the entire space is beautiful. I love the floor tile, furnishings and decor–I could hang out here all day.
Killebrew Coffee. I love this little coffee shop attached to the Thompson Hotel. They’re always so friendly, coffee is great and the aesthetics appeal to me with their black wall accents, baby blue accents, white subway tiled walls and fun floor tile.
Shopping all over Nashville
Lemon Laine. This place is all about natural beauty and wellness and it exudes happiness! The shop is full of bright pops of color and bold prints, large plants and the prettiest products that contain natural ingredients. This place is located in East Nashville in a small shopping center where you can find another Five Daughters Bakery location, Jeni’s Ice Cream and another shop I enjoy called Welcome Home.
White’s Mercantile. Their tagline “a general store for the modern-day tastemaker” fits the store perfectly. From adorable dog accessories to candles to apothecary products to men and women’s clothing, there’s something for everyone here. I’ve visited the 12 South location and then hop across the street for a popsicle at Las Paletas.
Alexis and Bolt. A few girls on Instagram told me to visit this place in Germantown and it was such a wonderful experience to shop there. The store is located inside a brick house with men’s and women’s clothing + shoes, home decor, apothecary products, jewelry and more. The vibes include black walls, shiplap, lots of texture and the smells of P.F. Candle Co. (my favorite candle line.) I snagged a candle and cute little crop top!
Abednego. Another gem in Germantown to visit for affordable to mid-priced clothing for men and women, plus home and gifty items to shop!
Parish. This gorgeous shop is located in the Gulch next to the Thompson Hotel. It’s a higher end boutique with a few affordable lines like Amuse Society. I love to wander in there and look at some of the stunning lines they carry that I can’t afford. If you pop by the Gulch for shopping and eating, it’s worth stopping at E. Allen for Free people clothing and boho vibes and Two Hippies for clothing, gifts and nice little souvenirs to take back home with you.
My Nashville Style
I packed this print wrap maxi dress from Sparrow Boutique for the trip and with accessorizing, I was able to add a little Nashville twist to it. I tossed a suede jacket, wide brim hat and suede mules. I just love wearing a little more color and print during the spring and summer seasons and this dress was so easy, flattering and comfortable for a day of exploring Nashville and Franklin. I styled the dress differently in the afternoon and snapped a few pics that I’ll be sharing tomorrow! P.S. Shop Sparrow Boutique now with code BB20 for 20% off!
