Six years ago today, I published my first blog post and over the years, I’ve done some cool shit and met some great people, a handful who are my closest friends today. My style has evolved and so have my interests so thank you to those who have stuck around! Photos throughout the years and a few memories below!
A month after starting my blog, Tieka and I planned a trip to NYC for the Chictopia blogger conference/Fashion Week. I somehow got to join in on a blogger night out event with a handful of established bloggers and a few newbies like me. I got really drunk that night and woke up in the morning with my hand stuffed into a Pringles can.
2010. Oh to be this thin again.
In 2011, I moved to Chicago and the night of the What I Wore book release, I met one of my most favorite people for the first time: Merl. Love you, my ginger queen.
A simple outfit I remember loving and red hair! 2011.
Got to be in a photoshoot for Lori’s Shoes in Chicago. The most fun day and they made it not so awkward for me thankfully.
Sweater shorts and a sweater during the end of summer. Photos in Milwaukee just before a break up and my move back to Michigan from Chicago.
2011 at the Lucky FABB conference in NYC just before fashion week. When I shoved myself next to Diane Von Furstenberg and Kim of Eat Sleep Wear couldn’t even snap a photo of me with eyes open.
Ended 2011 with a trip to NYC for Payless Shoes. I toured Lela Rose’s home and the infamous dog elevator, hugged Christian Siriano and was in awe of Sex and the City wardrobe designer Patricia Field and her stories of her and her gay besties. Also, learned a lot in that year since I started it out an organization I loved, but wanted to move to Chicago and work for a boutique..fucking hated it and then worked for an ad agency. Loved the people, not the job. Took a job offer for my old boss’ position at the organization I left in the beginning of 2011 and headed back for 2012.
Still the best New Year’s Eve–2012. Drove to Nashville with Merl and Karyn and had like $2 to my name.
2012. Chopped my hair.
2012. Started on my tattoo.
2012 was the year I starting paying off credit card debt (Chicago ruined me) and showed off a lot of skin, apparently.
All about the outlandish shoes during this period of time.
2012. Last Fashion Week shenanigans.
2013. Fresh off another break up, visiting Merl in Chicago and I think the last time I straightened my own hair. Ack. Takes too long.
2013. One of my faves.
Brother’s wedding. Felt fab!
I was so healthy at this time in 2014, eating really well and working out consistently. Had been dating Kyle for a while and felt like I had to be in shape like he was. Now we’re soft.

Started the pink hair in 2014. Ah, already miss it.
Baby James joined us in 2014. My little boo.
2015. Bought this cape from Merl in 2011 and finally figured out how to wear it. Found a new job much more suited to me. Found James medication for his seizures. Two classes away from finishing my masters. Things are good. Can’t wait to see what fun 2016 brings!

Prices are reasonable, food is delicious, and wait staff is sweet, conscientious, and adorable. I came here for an event, got contained to upstairs. Service at Chicago venues was prompt and food was awesome.
