Finally Feeling like Spring
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and what’s left of the snow is finally starting to melt (good riddance!) And it’s finally the season I transition to dresses. I hate layers with clothes like nylons, tights, slips, you name it and so if it’s too cold out for a dress to wear on its own, then I don’t wear it! But earlier this week the sun was shining and 45 degrees, perfect weather to debut my hairy winter legs. I wore this gorgeous tiered dress to a client luncheon and received so many compliments, styling it with black ankle boots and a YSL bag.
Plus, my new haircut by Jason Nash at Douglas J Okemos had me feeling my best too. I strutted around in this dress with my new most favorite hair this past Tuesday! I got a solid trim, plus lots of layers and fringe. Now it’s not weighing me down and I could twist and twirl with movement in the dress and the hair.
The Dress
I bought this dress in the floral print and black since I couldn’t choose and I wanted to do something a little more fun than black even though I find black more versatile for my closet. PLUS they were just $35 and now they’re actually 30% off, so under $25.
The style reminds of that baby doll style dress and I adored this silhouette as a child and it works perfectly in my adult years in a longer length and with sleeves.
If you’re looking for a fun sandal to wear with the dress (because so am I), all of the black sandals at Target are super cute. My faves right now are these black espadrille platform sandals, I love how they add height.

What a cute pattern, love the black and white too! Casual but glam at the same time! ๐

That’s a really cute dress, the fit is so adorable. The pattern is really pretty as well and the fact that it’s black and white is perfect for the beginning of spring since the weather isn’t fully spring-like yet.
