Cozy Travel + Shopping Style

Last Saturday, Brooke and I headed out to Midland to Elodie Boutique’s Spring Refresh event, both dressed in cozy looks with some spring inspiration, but it really was cold and hard to fully embrace my favorite spring trends on a cold, un-spring like day.

First we grabbed iced lattes from Loch Coffee and then spent the afternoon eating cupcakes and cheese while helping ladies pick new pieces to style for spring. The day’s events called for stretchy denim, cozy striped top and sneakers.

Recreate the Look

I got this top from Elodie Boutique last year, but there are always fresh and new striped tops to shop like this fitted long-sleeved tee on sale now for $24 or this boxy Madewell tee that I own and wear like once a week.

These Madewell jeans are my favorite, I love a 9 in. rise and a frayed hem, especially when they’re available in sizes like petite or tall. Since I’m 5’4″, I bought these in petite and they’re the perfect length. I love also love the Just Black line of jeans that Elodie Boutique carries–they’re in the $60 range and they’re super stretchy and such great quality.

I’m all about sneakers right now. If it ain’t a platform sneaker, I ain’t interested! I’m wearing these Steven Madden platform sneakers in black, and they come in a few more colors and prints, plus they’re under $50. And my most favorite slip on sneaker is now half off. I got them in white full price and then snagged them in blush on sale for $50. If you’re a Vans girl, the platform sneaker version is a dream and priced well at $55.
