The Iconic GUESS Girl always represented, and still
represents sexiness, confidence and a bit of vulnerability, a trifecta I
believe we all try to achieve in some balance when we dress ourselves.

I’ve been enamored with the GUESS ad campaigns for as long
as I can remember. I love the playfulness and the natural beauty of the models
and the simple sexiness the clothes bring out. It’s what we aspire to look and
feel like. When I spot the girl, down the street or in the grocery store, I see
her, not just GUESS and something sexy, yet approachable that both men and
women find universally appealing.

The challenge for myself when styling the Marilyn top, which
is my favorite piece from the anniversary collection, was to portray this
Iconic GUESS Girl style as I envision it with a modern twist. I styled the
Marilyn top with a pair of hot pink shorts, black heels and understated accessories,
which was fitting for a night out on the town last Friday.

i've also always adored the guess advertising campaigns… just a sultry and simple elegance to them. the girl next door, but one with some intrigue and with some secrets. the pop of color here is a great modernization to the 1960s sleeveless blouse look!

You just became my FAVORITE fashion blogger. Not only because I love your style but also because you are from Michigan. I was born and raised in Michigan and went to school at the University of Michigan but sadly I had to move to Arizona after I graduated. 🙁 I miss it so much! Everyone here makes fun of my non-existant Michigan accent. Anyways, I am an artist and jeweler and I would love it if you checked out my work! Right now my Etsy shop is on vacation because I'm busting my bum getting jewelry ready for a shop in LA. It's called am, I be designs. I do have a few photos on my website: margaretibaczewski.info
